Chicken tortillas

Hi! Normally I don’t prepare some amazing meals, because it’s just for me, so I just get it over with and make myself something super-easy and also super-boring. But hey, it’s edible. However, I really enjoy cooking for someone else. And since my boyfriend visited me last weekend here in Brno, I thought I could make us chicken tortillas for lunch. It’s quick and super-easy, but also delicious and not at all boring. In fact, it was quite fun, because we prepared it together. And cooking with someone else is always fun. 🙂


Following this recipe you’ll get four tortillas. The time of preparation is approximately 45 minutes.


You will need:

400 g chicken meat
all-purpose flour
sunflower oil
vegetables (cucumber, pepper, tomatoes, lettuce)
4 tortillas

Dressing:

400 g plain yoghurt (I used one with 10% of fat, because it’s thicker and yummier)
lemon juice
1-2 garlic cloves
oregano spice


Firstly clean the chicken and chop it into small pieces. Then cover them in flour, because thanks to this the meat has nice consistency when done. Pour a bit of sunflower oil on a heated pan and add chicken bits. Fry till done, you can even a bit longer, if you like more roasted meat.

Meanwhile the meat is frying, chop the veggies into small bits and mix them in a bowl.

Then prepare your dressing: Put the yoghurt in another bowl, then add grated garlic clove and mix. After that add lemon juice. Be careful with it, add just a bit at a time and always mix it and taste it, before you add more. When you’re satisfied with the lemon juice amount, sprinkle the dressing with oregano spice. Now you’re done.
Of course you can adjust the taste to your liking and add more or less stuff (for example vinegar or mustard are common ingredients). This is just what I came up with and liked a lot.

When you have all this done, you want to warm up the tortillas on a pan (this time don’t use any sunflower oil). You can ever roast them a bit.

Now’s the stuffing time! Stuff the tortillas with vegetables and put them in the preheated oven for a while, just to let it all warm up. After that, you just put in the dressing as well and you’re free to eat!
