Finding Dory | Watch with Me

Hi! Ever since Finding Dory came out, I was super excited to watch it. The first film, Finding Nemo, is such a classic and it’s so well made and it kind of represents my childhood. I love it. And so I knew I had to watch Finding Dory as well, as soon as possible.

And it would be convenient, I thought, to write a review for my blog, when I’m at it. At least that was the original plan, because then I decided not to write a review-review, but rather a first impression-watch with me-kind of review. I think it might be a little bit more interesting that way.

Spoiler alert: The film is gorgeous.

Another spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers caused by my first impression thoughts. Please be aware of that.

Note: I am sorry, but this may seem a little messy and like not really a review. And I know it, and it’s simply because this is not a youtube video, where you can just talk and watch something at the same time. But I’m going to try and at least add time stamps to the commentary, so you could “watch with me”.

OMG fetus Dory is so CUTE! And she looks very similar to her mum…

4:45

Ooooh, poor child. And nobody can help her. :(

5:40

I love Ellen DeGeneres and I am so glad she’s voicing Dory. She’s perfect for this role.

6:10

THE BOAT!, haha. This is my childhood. I love it love it love it.

8:45

Dory has such beautiful eyes, I just noticed.

12:00

RAY FISH CHOIR *opens mouth in aww*

15:25

Childhood again! Crush is the best, he’s so chill, haha.

20:00

Marlin, don’t be mean to Dory, it’s not her fault. :(

20:20

Ah, NOT AGAIN!

22:10

EWW, A SQUID! A JIGGLY SQUISHY UGLY WET SQUID!

26:10

Haha, the accent of the two seals is just perfect. It’s a pleasant change, I must say, because all the other fish speak with american accent.

30:45

A whale shark?! *horrified* Dory, run! (I mean swim.)

Phew, she’s nice. Destiny is a very pretty name. And she’s so cute too.

35:10

Becky is such a lady. :D

44:25

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming… :)

47:55

Ok, this is the friendliest clam I’ve ever seen.

51:15

Oh no, they aren’t dead, are they?

Ok this is getting scary.

Omg, they released them, didn’t they?

Are they in Cleveland?

59:25

The music is so touching…

01:03:30

They’re dead. No. No. No. No.

Ok I wanna cry.

Oh, not again!

01:07:40

Are they alive?

Pixar, don’t you play with my emotions!

Aww, they made a path for her to come home!

THEY FOUND EACH OTHER

Ok, I’m crying.

01:13:30

So much action is going on right now, I can’t even focus, haha.

Cuddle buddies!

01:19:45

Driving octopus, aaaaalright.

01:26:00

Yes, you did it, Dory. :)

THE END

Sia is such a good singer.

01:28:20

Don’t you do brows at me!

01:35:00

Bonus scene! Yay!

It’s THEM! Alright, they’re gonna be okay now. :)

Ok guys, I know it’s not much, but I had really good fun writing this mini-post and watching Dory. It’s a great film, you should definitely check it out – especially if you grew up watching Finding Nemo like me, haha.
