Babysitting Three Ridgebacks! // RR Update

I realised I haven’t post any photos nor update of my baby Rhodesian Ridgeback, Maggie. Well, she is certainly not a baby by size, but by mind – sure. She’s still a puppy after all – her age is almost 8 months. A big big puppy, which cannot be held in arms by any normal human being anymore.

She is stubborn, playful and cuddly. She’s going to be smaller than her mother, Bayonne, that’s doubtless. Her head and face are adorable, whereas her mum’s face is rather muscular and more massive than a typical face of a lady.

I already taught her some commands: sit, down (not perfect, we’re still working on it), stay, come and show belly (this one I use when checking for ticks). She also understands the rules of the game “I’m going to put a treat on your paw and you can’t eat it till I say so”, but she’s not that patient yet. Bayonne is a master of this game, haha! I’m planning to teach her even shake.

Anyway, Maggie’s brother Marley is visiting today and I have to babysit all of the three dogs, so I thought I’d snap some photos to let you know how much they grew up!

Note: Bayonne mostly isn’t in the photos, because she was too stressed to be in their (puppies’) presence – she’s still raising her children and is in a bad mood because the puppers are not behaving well.

Even though Maggie is a lot smaller than Marley, she is superior.

Marley was jealous of Maggie’s bone, but was too afraid to steal it at the same time, haha!
… And she protected her treat!

Eventually, I had to cut the bone into two halves, so each of them could chew on it without arguing.
Bayonne, watching over her pupps.

I hope you liked this mini post!

Have a wonderful day! xx

I am a girl in her twenties from Czech Republic. I study Italian and German at Masaryk University in Brno, where I live as well. I am obsessed with tea and vanilla ice cream, haha! I love books, blogging, Disney and of course my two adorable Rhodesian Ridgeback ladies.

    1. Haha, they had fun, sure, but me – not as much. I had to be focused on what they’re doing, because they often come up with rubbish ideas – for example, Maggie likes to dig holes in my mum’s garden, because she always wants to hide her bone somewhere, haha. But despite that, I had tons of fun photographing them!
